The creation of graphics on Jim's homeade computer would sometimes follow these steps.

  1. Take a photo, any photo...
    origphoto.jpg (10350 bytes)
I ride up the bank, pop the board into my hand while I jump onto the transformer and then drop back in.

  2. Render the photo into a black and white image.
    handdraw.jpg (12496 bytes)
This was done by drawing, tracing, etc...

  3. Read the one's and zero's from the matrix and feed it to the conversion program to get the resultant hex code.
    code2.gif (12419 bytes)

  4. Run the print program to see the results.
    dotmatrix.jpg (6809 bytes)
Large and small printouts could be done by using different sized matrices.

This process was created by Jim Everman back in 1984.  It may be crude by today's standards, but back then, there was nothing else.
